The Best player from Real Madrid in the Euro 2012

Once again Real Madrid demonstrate the quality that their players cherish so much in the Euro 2012. There were 10 players from our team that were on the field during the semi-finals of the championship and once again they have all shown great sportsmanship

A special mention goes out to both our captain, Iker Casillas, and our striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who with their actions have led their national teams to the top.

Iker has become the first player to achieve 100 victories on an international football team, which would never have happened without some of the saves he produced throughout the tournament, eventually putting Spain through to the finals. Of these saves, two are worth mentioning, one being the last minute save against Croatia, which permitted the team to continue through the competition, but more incredible than this was the save during penalties against Portugal that remedied the failure of our great Xabi Alonso. Bravo Iker!

Cristiano Ronaldo in his fight to win a second golden ball, suddenly burst out of the ranks to straighten out his teams shaky start. It was based on their goals that Portugal managed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament and Spain only managed to stop them on penalties. Ronaldo really demonstrated to the Spanish defense the quality of his game. If Hugo Almeida didn't try as hard to fulfil Ronaldo's role, we could very well have seen a Portuguese victory.
