The first of the four Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona clasicos took place in the Santiago Bernabeu stadium last Saturday. During that game, Mourinho's men played a defensive game and didn't touch the ball much but cleverly managed to draw with just ten men.
After having studied FC Barcelona very carefully, Jose Mourinho made the decision of playing to counterattack trying to steal the ball of the opposing players.
Unfortunately, Real Madrid lost one player in the second half of the game. Albiol was sent off with a red card and Messi scored the first goal of the match from penalty position.
It was not until Ozil entered the pitch when FC Barcelona started to feel the pressure from Real Madrid. The occasion of the draw was given in the minute 80 when the locals were awarded a penalty and Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal. Alves had tackled Marcelo in the box, but the referee forgot to show him a booking which would have forced him off the pitch.
The Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona game was much more intense in the last 10 minutes and there were more occasions of goals but all of them failed.
Despite the disadvantage of having one men less, Real Madrid did not let FC Barcelona win the game.
Next clasico will be played on Wednesday for the Copa del Rey final. I'm sure the game will be very exciting. Who will win? Make your bets!
