Real Madrid winning home games finish
Real Madrid Jose Mourhino

Look at Jose Mourhino's face! Why is he so sad?

Well, after having played 150 home games and never lost one, Real Madrid was defeated by Sporting Gijon last Saturday. Jose Mourinho's proud record ended.

Before the kick-off of Real Madrid vs Sporting Gijon, the Santiago Bernabeu stadium was visited by the Real Madrid former player Ronaldo, who received a tribute.

The game started and it was Miguel de las Cuevas who scored a goal 12 minutes from time. Real Madrid was not able to score any goals and lost the match at Santiago Bernabeu with a 1-0.

Although Real Madrid had many chances to score one, two, three, four and five metres away from target, they didn't succeed. Were they unlucky?

Real Madrid played very well and did their best to win the Real Madrid vs Sporting Gijon game, while Sporting Gijon players didn't do much after the goal scored. They defended and didn' attack.

Real Madrid disadvantage, apart from the bad luck factor, was the lack of their most creative players . Cristiano, Benzema, and Marcelo couldn't play due to several injuries and Xabi Alonso missed the match because of suspension. Therefore, the absence of their creativity was noticeable against a team that defended fiercely and didn't attack. Only Ozil was left in the pitch.

Even though, Real Madrid know it was an undeserved defeat, they don't surrender and soon went back to work to prepare for the Champions League Tuesday's 20:45 CET match against Tottenham Hotpsur at Valdebebas behind closed doors.

Will Real Madrid be unlucky? Will Jose Mourhino smile again?
