Retired Brazilian player visits Real Madrid
Real Madrid Ronaldo

Santiago Bernabeu stadium received the visit of Ronaldo. I'm not talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, who is still injured, but about the recently retired Brazilian player who played in Real Madrid some years ago.

He appeared in the pich last Saturday, before the start of the Real Madrid-Sporting Gijon, and was given tribute by the two team captains and Madrid chiefs Florentino Perez and Jorge Valdano before the kick-off. Bernabeu loyal's crowd also received him with a warm welcome.

After four and a half seasons with Real Madrid, Ronaldo left the club in January of 2007. However, after five years, his passion for Madridismo is still alive and well today.

According to his opinion, Real Madrid is the favorite to win the tie against Tottenham. Although he asserts that Tottenham is a tough rival and the competition will not be easy, especially in the second leg in London, he bets on the Spanish team to win.

He has never played under Mourinho's orders but he thinks he is a great coach and has achieved very difficult goals.

Ronaldo also expresses his opinion about Cristiano Ronaldo. To him, the Portuguese football star is a decisive and talented player who scores a lot of goals.

Also, he talks about Benzema and considers his style quite similar to his in several aspects; for example, he is calm at the moment of taking a shot on goal.

Ronaldo retired on Saint Valentine's Day, 14th February 2011. His premature retirement is due to health reasons: pain and hypothyroidism. He retired with the record of the most goals scored in the history of the FIFA World Cup.

For Real Madrid, the visit of such an emblematic footballer was very important and his opinions well received.
