A special mention goes out to both our captain, Iker Casillas, and our striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who with their actions have led their national teams to the top.

Santiago Bernabeu stadium received the visit of Ronaldo. I'm not talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, who is still injured, but about the recently retired Brazilian player who played in Real Madrid some years ago.

He appeared in the pich last Saturday, before the start of the Real Madrid-Sporting Gijon, and was given tribute by the two team captains and Madrid chiefs Florentino Perez and Jorge Valdano before the kick-off. Bernabeu loyal's crowd also received him with a warm welcome.

Santiago Bernabéu is the son of a group of players who moved to a vacant lot next to the old Madrid bullring iin 1901 and created a football team. In 1912, they turned yet another vacant lot on O’Donnell Street into the best football pitch in Madrid.

In 1924, the Club decided to build the Old Chamartín Stadium, with capacity for 15,000 people and where Real Madrid played for 23 years.

Tonight Real Madrid and Lyon football teams are going to fight hard at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

It seems that Ronaldo is going to be on the football pitch. He has completely recovered from the injury that made him miss the match against Hercules and has been included on Jose Mourinho's squad list for tonight's clash.
